Hi Tim,
as of now, I am not considering a Wiki, however if there is more response in the future I might.
This post was born out of the problems that I ran into while trying some small projects. The
Hardware seems to be within specification of the manufacturer. I aquired the machine primarily for creating
PCB's. It works as expected, although I have some alignment problems on double sided boards. All over I am satisfied
with it's performance and accuracy. For the price I paid it does absolutely the job. Getting deeper into it does
require some more accessories e.g. edge finder (tough to get with 1/8" shank), set of exchangable ER11 collets that reach
from 1mm - 7mm shank diameter and so on. This will expand the tools you can use and gives you more flexibility.
As you can see, I am by far no machinist, I am living more on the electronic side. Some research I had done, regards the control cable, revealed that there is some issues with the assembly for this machine. I found others that had the control wiring fail on them too in a very early stage.
Thanks for your comment!

Very interesting post, as I'm looking to buy the CNC-3020 too.

Are you likely to start a wiki with this information, as I could update it and write more information/customization work?

Hi om Norbert,

the better way is to create "private" tcl files inside the locale directory and to leave the original tcl-files untouched. So write a locale.tcl with the procedure "deactivating_module {} " inside. This file will be sourced after the original EchoLink.tcl has benn loaded and your private function with your code changes will overwrite the original procedure. You do not need to create EchoLink.tcl.orig by doing that way and you will keep your changes after an update of SvxLink.

Have fun with SvxLink!
